QBs
Start
Derek Carr Raiders @ Giants
The Raiders are having another rough week with the awful situation surrounding Henry Ruggs III, however Carr has shown he can perform in the face of adversity. Against the Eagles after the Jon Gruden controversy, DC threw for 323 yds and 2 tuddys. He now goes on the road to face the Giants who have been soft against opposing QBs in recent weeks. Look for Derek to put the team on his back!
Sit
Ryan Tannehill Titans @ Rams
The Titans just lost Derrick Henry, and the Rams just traded for Von Miller. This just looks bad, an offence built around a lost piece going against a defense that just got stronger. The Titans are going to have to throw a bunch and this should result in that Rams pass rush getting home and putting pressure on Tannehill. I can envisage a few turnovers as Tennessee tries to keep up with the Rams.
RBs
Start
Myles Gaskin Texans @ Dolphins
The Gas Man out touched Salvon Ahmed 15-8 against the Bills and this is a 5 star matchup at home against the Texans who are the 6th easiest opponent for opposing RBs. With Malcolm Brown on IR and game script likely to go in the Dolphins favor there’s a good chance Gaskin sees north of 15 rushing attempts. He should be able to put up a decent score on yardage and his backfield catches alone, a touchdown would be the icing on the cake.
Sit
Melvin Gordon Broncos @ Cowboys
This isn’t a good matchup for running backs, 7th hardest in fact, and Gordon gave up what was almost an inexcusable fumble against the Washington Football Team. There’s a real chance he cedes some carries to Javonte Williams as punishment, and this is already a timeshare going up against a tough run defense. If Dak Prescott plays that spells even more trouble for the Broncos back as the Cowboys could score a lot of points, meaning a pass heavy offense for Denver.
WRs
Start
Michael Pittman Jr. Jets @ Colts
I almost put Carson Wentz as my QB start because I think this will be a high scoring game for the Colts. Pittman Jr has scored 4 touchdowns in his last 4 games and has 29 targets over that same period. Expect Pittman to be targeted early and often behind the awesome Colts run game, he’s a low end WR1 on Thursday Night Football.
Sit
Jakobi Meyers Patriots @ Panthers
Meyers is a guy I’m a fan of, he’s always been a target hog and there was definitely a period at the start of season where it seemed like the Pats were trying to get him in the endzone. That narrative seems to have changed but he did snag a 2pt’er against the Chargers. However this is the Stephon Gilmore revenge game, so I expect this to be a cagey affair, especially considering Carolina’s defense is tough on opposing receivers. Meyers should be benched in this one.
TEs
Start
Evan Engram Raiders @ Giants
Engram got his first touchdown of the season against the Chiefs on Monday Night Football and I see him backing it up against another AFC West team this Sunday. The Giants receiving corps is still in disarray, Shephard was injured again, Golloday’s status is still an unknown and Kadarius Toney is banged up. This should result in at least a few more targets and redzone looks making Engram a high end TE streaming option this week.
Sit
Dan Arnold Bills @ Jaguars
The Bills defense has been really good this year, especially against bad teams, and Jacksonville is a bad team. The Jags offense will get smothered in this one and I don’t see there being many opportunities for Arnold, especially when they will get destroyed in time of possession. Keep Mr Arnold out of your lineups this week as he still hasn’t found paydirt this season and there are better options out there!
Kickers
Start
Nick Folk Patriots @ Panthers
Whilst I don’t like Jakobi Meyers in this game, I still see the Patriots being able to move the football behind Mac Jones and Damien Harris. There’s a good chance the Panthers defense can stuff these drives and stop the Pats getting in the endzone, resulting in opportunities of Folk. He’s the 6th ranked kicker on the year and I see that continuing in Charlotte.
Sit
Chase McLaughlin Browns @ Bengals
The Browns offense has been awful of late and they are dealing with the OBJ controversy this week. Their opponents defense has been good on the year and Cincinnati will be looking to bounce back after a shock defeat to the Jets. I don’t see the Browns being in many scoring positions so Chase belongs out of your lineup this week and probably for a long while!
DSTs
Start
New Orleans Falcons @ Saints
The Saints are pumped up coming off a big win against the Super Bowl champs and they now face the lowly Falcons who are going to be without Calvin Ridley. That means they can focus their attention on stopping Kyle Pitts and Cordarrelle Patterson. The Saints actually have 8 sacks in their last two games, and another 4 more is very achievable this week. Stand up and get crunk!
Sit
Kansas City Chiefs @ Packers
Ok Aaron Rodgers won’t be playing after testing positive for COVID-19, and yes the Chiefs just traded for Melvin Ingram, but that won’t change the fact that this is a bad defense. The Packers still have superstars on their team who will be fed the ball, and backups of late have been doing awesome. Don’t get duped into this one people.
